BASF Raises Prices for Key Coatings Intermediate

BASF announced it is increasing prices for neopentyl glycol (Neol) in Europe, effective immediately or as existing contracts permit.
The company said the price for neopentyl glycol will increase by €350 per metric ton.
Neopentyl glycol is a polyalcohol used as an intermediate in the production of polyester resins for coatings, as well as in unsaturated polyester resins, lubricants and plasticizers.
