ChemQuest Group Names New CEO and Executive VP
The ChemQuest Group (Cincinnati, Ohio) has named Robert (Robb) Lovegrove the third CEO in the company’s 50-year history, with Daniel Murad remaining actively involved in the firm as chairman. The company also named Sabina Chatterjee to the leadership team as executive vice president.
Lovegrove joins the company after a 13-year tenure with Milliken & Co., spending the last 10 years as vice president of corporate strategy/development, architecting and collaborating with senior leadership to transform company portfolio and accelerate the pace of economic value creation across the enterprise. Prior to joining Milliken, Lovegrove spent 10 years in progressive strategic marketing and business leadership roles with Eastman Chemical Co. and BFGoodrich.
“Robb has joined ChemQuest at an exciting time in our history,” said Daniel Murad, chairman. “Over the course of his impressive career, he has built deep knowledge and expertise across the breadth of specialty chemicals and formulated products. The epitome of a strategic thinker, he is the ideal person to assist me in planning and implementing ongoing evolution.”
Chatterjee, the firm’s new executive vice president, is based in New York City, and will be responsible for driving growth in the Business Strategy and Transformation and M&A Advisory pillars at the company.
A seasoned finance executive who has followed the chemicals industry for 20 years, Chatterjee brings strong expertise in capital markets, transactional advisory and strategic positioning, along with a deep appreciation for the industry’s sub-sectors. In this leadership role, she will work closely with Chairman Daniel Murad and CEO Robert Lovegrove to fuel the firm’s expansion in advisory services, bridging financial acumen with operational expertise to deliver integrated value to private equity firms, strategics and founder-owned businesses alike.
Prior to joining ChemQuest, Chatterjee served as managing director in Investment Banking at Wells Fargo, where she spent 15 years across roles that also spanned equity research and sustainable finance. A chemical engineer by training, Chatterjee spent time in manufacturing and procurement at Colgate-Palmolive. She holds an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and a BS/BE from New York University and Stevens Institute of Technology.
