Membership Memo—We Believe

Midwest Finishing Systems, Inc. has been involved with PCI since the early 1990s. We truly believe in our trade association and the credibility it brings to each member company. As a proud PCI member, we are quick to mention the association to potential customers, pointing out they should engage other member companies regarding their project.
When I first got involved with PCI, I jumped in with the Education Committee, looking to learn from the best in the industry, share experiences, and learn best practices. By increasing my powder coating knowledge, I could better educate the customer to help them make the best decisions for themselves and for their company.
Our company takes advantage of PCI’s many educational offerings, including hands-on workshops and the popular PCI Powder Coating Technical Conference held during Powder Coating Week. Besides in-person learning opportunities, PCI offers a variety of print resources including Powder Coating: The Complete Finisher’s Handbook, Technical Briefs, and basic troubleshooting guidelines.
Membership offers the opportunity to get involved with your association through a variety of committees including Education, Certification, Membership, Promotion, and Technical. I suggest you look into the committees to see what excites you and will help you get the most out of your membership.
There is also great value in getting to know other members in our industry. In addition to personal benefits, all of these resources benefit your fellow employees, and existing and future customers. It is rewarding to be part of a group that
is focused on promoting powder coatings, growing and improving the industry, and creating lasting relationships.
There is always something going on within PCI. The popular custom coater Peer Groups continue to grow. These groups share practical experiences and best practices. Powder Coating Week 2023 will be here before you know it and is an event you won’t want to miss. Check out the event video at conference.powdercoating.org that was coordinated by the Promotions Committee.
If you are member, get involved with PCI and its many opportunities. If you’re not a member, join us. The more involved you are the more you and your company will benefit from your association.
