Interpon Joins NATSPEC as Product Partner in Australia

Interpon, AkzoNobel's (Nashville, Tennessee) architectural powder coating brand, has been added as a recognized product partner of NATSPEC, Australia’s national building specification system. NATSPEC is a not-for-profit organization owned by government and industry bodies, and its platform is widely used by architects, engineers, and specifiers to streamline product selection while supporting compliance with Australian Standards.

Through the partnership, architects and specifiers can now select Interpon powder coatings directly within the NATSPEC worksection, without separately sourcing technical documentation or rewriting specifications. Verified sustainability data, performance information, warranties and color and finish options are accessible within the platform, aimed at improving specification accuracy and reducing project risk from design through to delivery.

Products available through NATSPEC include Interpon's D2525 and D3020 super- and hyper-durable architectural ranges, which are engineered for demanding exterior applications. The D2525 range carries an extended color retention warranty of 15 to 20 years; the D3020 offers a film integrity warranty of 30 to 35 years and a color retention warranty of 20 to 30 years.

The integration reflects a broader trend of powder coating manufacturers seeking inclusion in specification tools that architects and project teams use early in the design process. Being embedded in a platform like NATSPEC enables Interpon to be considered at the point of specification rather than later in procurement, supporting greater adoption of high-performance architectural powder coatings in Australian construction projects.
