The next several pages are dedicated to job shops in the powder coating industry. Here, we present two PCI custom coater members, Absolute Powder Coating LLC and Kettle Moraine Coatings. This page is PCI’s way to give back to its members while offering PCT readers an excellent resource for custom powder coating services. When you turn the page, you will see all of PCI’s custom coater members listed alphabetically by state.

Absolute Powder Coating, LLC

Type of coatings applied: Polyesters, polyurethanes, acrylics, silicon, fusion bonded epoxy, and more

Substrates powder coated: Cold rolled steel, hot rolled steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and other alloys

Processes utilized: Batch powder system that can accommodate parts up to 10' x 12' 40'

Pretreatment: 10' x 14' x 40' sandblasting booth; only aluminum oxide media is used

Curing: Gas-filed batch ovens

End-users/industries served: From lard production manufacturing to government agencies encompassing city/state/federal including subcontractors to private individuals; recent projects include large triple axle trailers coated to US Air Force specifications, City of Albuquerque bus stop shelters, community park fence, New Mexico DOT bridge railing, automotive, patio furniture, and more.

Additional capabilities: Fabrication capabilities to create custom rack systems to hang parts, ect.

Type of coatings applied: 80% powder as well as fluid bed coating and hot dip plastisol coating

Substrates powder coated: Primary steel as well as aluminum

Processes utilized: Three conveyor lines - two manual spray, one with automatics and quock-color change booth; two batch work centers - one small batch booth and one large for very big and heavy parts

Pretreatment: Chemical

Curing: Gas-fired

End-users/industries served: Agriculture, appliance, architecture, aerospace, automotive, electrical, furniture, HVAC, lawn/garden, and more

Additional capabilities: Post-coating operations such as assembly and packaging; transportation services for the local market
