Director's Message: PCI's focus Continues to Sharpen

In 2009, The Powder Coating
Institute took bold steps to
change the focus of the organization
and offer additional value to its
members. A technical infrastructure
was added to serve as a source of
information and direction for the
industry. It included a technical
director, lab services, new training
programs and new products. We
rebuilt our website to make it more functional and useful.
We undertook new market research efforts to provide
valuable information to our members and the industry.
We began to rewrite our handbook to bring it up to date
with new technologies. We began to build new standards,
new tools, and more comprehensive services for
all of our members and industry partners.
As we progress in this third year of the five-year plan
that was initiated in 2009, we have completed a lot, and
there is still much to be accomplished. It is all part of
our effort to provide value to our members as well as to
help make our industry stronger. In addition to our original
goals, we have added new ideas as we go along as
well. It is important that our membership is aware of
our efforts, and I am looking for feedback—ideas, comments,
questions—from our members. What can we do
